About Dr Maxine Fernandes

Dr. Maxine is an Aesthetic General Practitioner based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. She brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the field of aesthetic medicine in Dubai. With a Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBCHB) degree, coupled with an Advanced Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine, and a multitude of additional trainings and certifications in aesthetic medicine, Dr. Fernandes is deeply committed to delivering exceptional care and results to her patients.

The Vision

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:

With six years of experience as a General Practitioner and four of those years specializing in aesthetic medicine, Dr. Fernandes has honed her skills to provide comprehensive and personalised treatment plans tailored to each individual's unique needs. Her qualifications include a post-graduate Advanced Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine, graduating with first class honors (cum laude); a Certificate in Aesthetic Medicine from the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, and a Masters in Facial Aesthetics from the same institution.


CLINICAL EXPERIENCE:

Having founded her own medical aesthetics and wellness clinic - Emporiderm - in South Africa, Dr. Fernandes has a proven track record of excellence in patient care and satisfaction. Currently based at an esteemed aesthetic clinic in Dubai Marina - Cosmesurge - she is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in everything she does.

Meticulous and extremely passionate about her work, Dr. Fernandes strives to stay at the forefront of advancements in aesthetic medicine. Her commitment to excellence is evident in her pursuit of additional certifications and academic achievements, including ongoing enrollment in further education such as the Diploma in Dermatology from the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, and a third post-graduate Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine from the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine.

PUBLICATIONS:

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Fernandes is actively involved in research and academic endeavors, with publications in academic journals such as the South African Journal of Surgery.
